DreamWare Receives $483,000 Grant to Train 200 Employees in Southern Florida
CareerSource Florida has awarded Naples-Based DreamWare a Quick Response Training Grant to Train New Hires from the Local Workforce
NAPLES, Fla., July 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DreamWare, which delivers unique web applications and services to improve mobile e-commerce across various industries, today announced the receipt of a $483,000 Quick Response Training (QRT) grant to bring additional job training to Southwest Florida. The QRT grant, awarded by CareerSource Florida, in cooperation with Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) serving as the fiscal agent, will help support the training of 200 additional DreamWare employees over the next two years as the company continues the national expansion of its signature platform, Car Lister.
Florida SouthWestern State College is the State Fiscal Agent for QRT grants in Southwest Florida. By working closely with CareerSource Florida in Tallahassee, the School of Business and Technology (SoBT) at FSW has been successful in helping secure $3.9M of QRT funds to train over 2,300 new hires over the last four years in Lee and Collier counties.
"Our company has experienced incredible growth in such a short period of time, and much of that can be attributed to the strong team of local employees we've assembled in our Naples headquarters," said Bryan Harmon, Founder and CEO, DreamWare. "This grant will help support our ongoing expansion as we continue growing our Car Lister platform across the country."
The grant comes on the heels of Car Lister's $6.5 million round of angel funding to expand the platform to more than 200 automotive dealers across 31 states. Launched in October 2014, Car Lister allows users to instantly list vehicles for sale simply by providing the VIN number and answering a series of quick questions. The application generates titles and vehicle descriptions, allows for the upload of images and video, and includes a full vehicle history report at no cost.
