ARLINGTON, Va., April 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, American Trucking Associations is pleased to welcome Lytx, Inc. (formerly DriveCam) as the newest sponsor of ATA's show trucks: Interstate One and the Share the Road.
Both Interstate One and the Share the Road trucks are driven by an elite group of professional drivers with millions of miles of accident-free driving, and now as part of this sponsorship agreement will be using the DriveCam powered by Lytx™ Program, to showcase the vital role technology plays in improving driving safety and preventing collisions on our nation's highways.
ATA's tractor-trailers travel across the country allowing the public, policy-makers and the media to see firsthand what a truck driver experiences on the road, in their mobile office. America's Road Team Captains showcase the trucking industry's newest safety technology, explain the impact trucking has on everyday life, and educate the motoring public on how to safely share the road with large trucks.
"We are proud to partner with driver safety technology companies like Lytx that are making a difference by changing behaviors and preventing vehicle collisions," said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. "There is no better way to highlight the advances in safety technology than putting equipment on the ATA show trucks for all to understand the importance the trucking industry puts on safety."
"As a global leader in delivering driver safety and compliance solutions, Lytx is proud to be a sponsor of the ATA's show trucks and of the elite professionals who drive them across our nation said Brandon Nixon, chairman and CEO of Lytx, Inc. "America's Road Team Captains are true ambassadors for the trucking industry and are emblematic of the thousands of drivers protected by our DriveCam Program.
