BOSTON, March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Global Buy-Write Opportunities Fund (NYSE: ETW), a closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three months and year ended December 31, 2012. The Fund's fiscal year ended on December 31, 2012.

For the three months ended December 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $3,067,389 ($0.029 per share). For the year ended December 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $23,892,459 ($0.223 per share). In comparison, for the three months ended December 31, 2011, the Fund had net investment income of $3,618,582 ($0.034 per share). For the year ended December 31, 2011, the Fund had net investment income of $21,243,219 ($0.198 per share).

Net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended December 31, 2012 were $4,283,413 ($0.042 per share). Net realized and unrealized gains for the year ended December 31, 2012 were $116,413,699 ($1.084 per share). In comparison, net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended December 31, 2011 were $125,289,630 ($1.168 per share). Net realized and unrealized losses for the year ended December 31, 2011 were $9,435,179 ($0.088 per share).

On December 31, 2012, net assets of the Fund were $1,317,269,558. The net asset value per share on December 31, 2012 was $12.37 based on 106,509,735 shares outstanding. In comparison, on December 31, 2011, net assets of the Fund were $1,309,943,775. The net asset value per share on December 31, 2011 was $12.22 based on 107,229,535 shares outstanding.
