eBackpack Service Will Enable 21st Century Learning in Schools
ROCKWALL, Texas, Jan. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- eBackpack, Inc., the leading provider of cross-platform cloud assignment, assessment, and classroom workflow management solutions for 1:1 and BYOD/BYOT K12 classrooms, announced today that it has been selected by Apple to provide eBackpack Services to over 100 schools across the nation as part of Apple's ConnectED initiative program.
The ConnectED Initiative seeks to place effective and engaging educational technology into America's classrooms, reaching 99% of American students with next generation broadband and high-speed wireless by 2017. In June 2013, President Barack Obama announced the initiative and called for support from the federal government, businesses, states, school districts and communities. Apple committed to donate iPads and MacBooks along with other enabling products and professional development tools in support of the Initiative. eBackpack, as a partner and contributor with Apple, will generously provide the classroom workflow software enabling student and teacher assignments, assessments, and paperless classroom capabilities for the devices and tools delivered by Apple.
