Edgewood Center for Children and Families Announces Nancy Rubin as Interim CEO
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Edgewood Center for Children and Families announced today that it has hired an Interim Chief Executive Officer, Nancy Rubin, as it conducts a national search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Rubin will assume the role effective September 30, 2015. Edgewood's current Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Madaus leaves after 5 years at the helm and has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children, youth and families in the Bay Area. Upon Madaus' departure, Edgewood Board of Directors Chairman Tim Myers expressed gratitude to Madaus for his years of service and welcomed Ms. Rubin back to the agency.

"Nancy is dedicated to staff collaboration and will work to nurture our agency's internal and external relationships, while supplementing and supporting current objectives. She is committed to Edgewood's financial health and will work in collaboration with its executive team to maintain financial stability and program quality."
Ms. Rubin formerly served as Chief Executive Officer of Edgewood between 2001 and 2010. Ms. Rubin's experience in the mental health and child welfare communities goes back several decades to her prior work as director of Marin County Health and Human Services from 1998 to 2001. She has worked as a management consultant, policy leader, and executive strategist for the last five years. She understands the complexity of working with youth and their families who have suffered through significant emotional disturbances and trauma.
Ms. Rubin was a Senior Policy Fellow at New York University/National Public Health and Hospital Institute. She earned her M.S.W. with an emphasis in public administration from San Francisco State University, and her B.A. in social welfare from UC Berkeley.
Yearly, Edgewood serves thousands of children, youth, and families in San Francisco and San Mateo counties.
