Educational Planning Firms Announce Merger
Cooperative Strategies, LLC and DeJONG-RICHTER Unite
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooperative Strategies, LLC, an educational consulting firm headquartered in Irvine, California, and DeJONG-RICHTER, LLC of Hilliard, Ohio are excited to announce their merger into one firm focused on the planning and financing of schools nationwide. The merger comes after careful consideration of how to utilize the firms' individual expertise in a collaborative manner to provide public school districts and other local educational agencies with the best tools and resources available. The combined firms will operate under the Cooperative Strategies name.
Formerly Dolinka Group, LLC, Cooperative Strategies was renamed in July 2016 as the result of newly defined company values, a transition from an individually owned company to a partner-owned organization, and expansion to provide services nationwide. For more than two decades, the firm has focused on providing California school districts with comprehensive services for the planning and financing of facilities construction and improvements.
As part of its transition to Cooperative Strategies, the firm committed to expanding its resources as necessary to offer its clients the most advanced solutions available for facilities planning. Cooperative Strategies opened a Littleton, Colorado office last year and has been providing facilities planning services to a number of school districts in Colorado.
DeJONG-RICHTER is a nationally-recognized educational planning firm with advanced approaches to facilities planning that combine key data analysis with community outreach. With clients across the nation, they have spent decades honing their skills to provide the most expanded services with the best techniques from across the country. Their focus on educational assessments aids educational agencies in crafting facilities plans that reflect the unique needs of their students. The firm places heavy emphasis on community engagement in order to understand the dynamics and desires of each of its clients and their communities.
The merger with Cooperative Strategies provides DeJONG-RICHTER clients additional expertise in the areas of facilities financing and program implementation.
Tracy Richter, Chief Executive Officer of DeJONG-RICHTER, says uniting with Cooperative Strategies was the "right move" for his firm. "This is an exciting opportunity to combine two firms committed to providing the highest quality learning environments. Cooperative Strategies' expertise in financial analysis related to demographics and facilities conditions is an ideal complement to our educational approach to planning."
Benjamin Dolinka, Chief Executive Officer of Cooperative Strategies agrees saying, "The addition of DeJONG-RICHTER and their talented staff allows us to incorporate some of the most refined techniques that have been practiced across the nation. Nothing can replace firsthand experience and we are excited to share their expertise with our clients."
DeJONG-RICHTER will continue to operate under its name until January 1, 2017, when it will formally begin to conduct business as Cooperative Strategies. Benjamin Dolinka will remain the Chief Executive Officer of Cooperative Strategies and Tracy Richter will be the managing partner and President of Ohio-based operations. The merger between the firms will not impact any existing staffing or client relationships.
