Educational Webinar Teaches Improved Patient Management Through Broader Access to Cardiac MRI
SEATTLE, April 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Precision Image Analysis (PIA) is sponsoring a free educational webinar series designed to highlight advances in cardiovascular imaging and post-processing. Scott D. Flamm, MD, MBA, former president of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) will be presenting this educational session that will highlight improvements in patient management by providing broader access to Cardiac MRI (CMR).
This presentation will help attendees to better understand appropriate use of CMR, the strengths of CMR and comparison with other types of cardiac imaging, and the overall place of CMR in cardiovascular disease management. A portion of the presentation will be devoted to system standardization, data acquisition, post-processing, and interpretation with the goal of improved efficiency and enhanced patient management. Time will be allotted for Dr. Flamm to address questions about how CMR can benefit patients and add value to hospitals and imaging centers.
Registration is now open at no cost for the introductory 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM PDT session on April 28th 2015. Additional information and online registration is available at the PIA website, PIAmedical.com
Adoption of CMR as a diagnostic tool is predicted to double in 2015 to over one million examinations, with PIA well positioned on the forefront of this trend. Currently, CMR is considered the gold standard for assessment of right and left ventricular volume and function. CMR technology provides the highest level of reproducibility, and when used appropriately can reduce repeat examinations and the number of diagnostic procedures necessary.
For those who would like to see PIA's post-processing technology at work, PIA is offering a free demo with a PIA representative including a trial analysis.
