eegoes Social Network Launches New Features and Secures Further Funding
BOSTON, Massachusetts, August 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- eegoes, a new social network currently still in private beta is pleased to announce the launch of its latest new features, Groups and Tags. The network also continues to attract further funding and investors through its interesting novel concept and engaging functionality as well as strengthening the team.
The private invitation only beta of eegoes continues and during this time the development team has been working hard to iron out bugs and to listen to a lot of feedback from their very active early adopters.
The heavy usage these members are engaging in and their willingness to suggest ideas and more great functions on their 'wish-list', has had the team working flat out to improve features, redesign profiles and introduce more services and tools to keep building on the user experience.
eegoes 'Networks', a key area of the site which helps to organise conversations and content, have also been seriously modified for usability and to make the user experience more relevant, easy and enjoyable, as this is one of the main purpose of eegoes - to re-enable easy sharing!
The eegoes team is also very proud to announce the arrival of two important new features, including 'Groups' and 'Tags'.
'Groups' are designed to allow users to create a shared space, themed around a common area of interest or specific topic for discussion. This is again in line with eegoes philosophy, which is to share 'what matters to you'. This is where members can really start to make eegoes their own, and voice their opinions and messages.
'Tags' are also now in place so that users can specify keywords to associate with their content, profile, or groups so that people, images, videos,etc.. can all be searchable by area of interest. This will allow users to not only find content relevant to them, but to also locate people they may be potentially interested in following or having a discussion with based on their common interests.
Guillaume Molter, CEO of eegoes, is quick to point out that this is only the beginning. "At eegoes, we are firm believers in continued innovation. The web offers so many possibilities already and every day there are more and more capabilities, tools and functionality. The latest features, Groups and Tags are great for our users, but for us this is just the start. We have some really exciting ideas and functions in development and some already in testing too and we will continue to keep adding to eegoes and listening to our users ideas and feedback."
Further to its recent successful seed funding of $500,000, eegoes has again also attracted further investors, including Fatima Hanich, a private investor and Panamean company Coliseum International SA.
"The interest from potential investors since our first funding has been phenomenal and many of them see and understand the potential in what we are developing at eegoes. Both Al Zane, my fellow co-founder and I are always very grateful to our investors for their support and belief in eegoes, and we're also pleased to announce that Mrs Fatima Hanich is also joining the executive team as Chief Financial Officer. There is no greater vote of confidence than an investor wanting to become more directly involved in what you are doing," says Molter.
The team is now focused on testing and debugging of the latest new features prior to the public launch of eegoes, which is scheduled for mid-September 2010.
