El Gaucho Holiday Traditions and Special Events
Treasured Family Celebrations, Community Connections and Exceptional Gifts
SEATTLE, Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The winter holidays are a favorite time of year for El Gaucho because these special celebrations give opportunities to gather together and create memories whether at one of our special events or when our guests choose to spend a holiday meal with us at Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas or New Year's Eve.
"It is an honor to spend the holidays with our guests and their families. Watching their children come in, dressed to the nines with their infectious enthusiasm is truly meaningful for us," shared Chad Mackay, President and COO, El Gaucho Hospitality. "Our family would like to thank the community for being a part of our lives and for allowing us to celebrate theirs. Cheers!"
Celebrating our Community Connections
One of the seven Core Values in our company is to forge a strong bond with our communities by being generous in our fundraising for local charities as well as giving our time and energy to building better communities. At this time of year, we like to take a look back at the year and make sure we are living up to that commitment. Through financial giving, time and resources, we have donated more than $3,000,000 in just over a decade. Our ongoing commitment to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission feeds us as much as it does the men who join us for lunch twice a month. During the holidays, some of our individual team members contribute in their own way. For example, El Gaucho Corporate Executive Chef Ken Sharp serves Thanksgiving dinner every year to the Dorothy Day House serving homeless women in Seattle and El Gaucho Portland Executive Chef Alex Parsons, his family and his team provide Thanksgiving dinner to the Salvation Army West Women's and Children's Shelter.
Holiday Dinners and Special Events
Rex and JoAnn Clark of Seattle have chosen AQUA by El Gaucho as the setting for their Christmas Eve dinner because as JoAnn Clark says, "They make us feel like royalty. There is a special friendliness here and it is so lovely to see all the families out celebrating the occasion."
