Ellman International, Inc. Appoints Dave Pfeiffer as Chief Commercial Officer New Senior Management Team also includes CFO Mike Kucza
OCEANSIDE, N.Y., April 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ellman International, Inc. announced the appointment of Dave Pfeiffer to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. Mr. Pfeiffer will be responsible for all domestic & international commercial activities. Mr. Pfeiffer, previously a member of the Board of Directors of Ellman International, will report to Frank D'Amelio, CEO of Ellman. Also continuing as part of the Senior Management team is Mike Kucza, Chief Financial Officer. Ellman is a leading provider of radiofrequency (RF) generators used for surgical applications and aesthetic procedures such as the non-invasive skin tightening procedure known as Pelleve.

Dave Pfeiffer was most recently Chief Operating Officer at NB Therapeutics, a venture capital backed company developing treatments for onychomycosis, or toenail fungus. Prior to that, he was at CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals, where his last position was as Sr. VP, Sales and Marketing. Dave helped launch Oracea, a rosacea treatment with sales of over $250 million annually. Galderma, Inc., a privately owned dermatology company, purchased CollaGenex in 2008. Dave spent his career prior to CollaGenex in various sales and marketing positions at SmithKline Beecham, Zeneca and Lederle Laboratories.
Mike Kucza worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP as both an auditor and consultant. He was first introduced to private equity as the audit manager on the firm's largest customer, Kohlberg, Kravits, Roberts & Co. Mike left D&T to become the controller and eventually CFO of a Swedish owned venture capital management company. In 2002, Mike moved to the portfolio company side of private equity when joining InfoHighway Communications, a GTCR owned telecommunications company. Serving as their CFO for four years, InfoHighway was sold above book value after the investment was written off by GTCR during the collapse of the telecommunications industry. In 2006, Mike and members of his InfoHighway management team started a privately held distribution business before he joined Ellman in 2010.
