Embedded Vision Alliance Welcomes Three New Members, Announces Speakers for the Embedded Vision Summit at DESIGN East
OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Embedded Vision Alliance (www.Embedded-Vision.com) today announced that Aptina Imaging (www.aptina.com), Synopsys (www.synopsys.com), and VanGogh Imaging (www.vangoghimaging.com) have joined the Alliance as Technology Members, bringing the group's membership to 25 companies. Aptina Imaging is a leading supplier of CMOS image sensors and imaging processors. Synopsys is a world leader in software and intellectual property (IP) used in the design, verification and manufacture of electronic components and systems. VanGogh Imaging provides embedded vision solutions for high-volume applications that can use mobile devices to capture, display, and measure objects in 3D. These latest additions further expand the ranks of companies that have united in an industry partnership dedicated to inspiring and empowering engineers to design systems that see and understand.
The Alliance also announced the full roster of speakers for the Embedded Vision Summit (www.embedded-vision.com/embedded-vision-summit), an event for system, software, and chip design engineers, as well as press and analysts. The premiere Embedded Vision Summit will be held next week, on September 19, 2012 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts, in conjunction with UBM Electronics' DESIGN East conference. The Summit will provide an opportunity for engineers to learn about the hottest technology in the electronics industry – "machines that see and understand." Attendees of this free event will have access to a series of "how-to" presentations, demonstrations, and keynote talks by Professor Rosalind Picard, founder and director of the Affective Computing Research Group at the MIT Media Laboratory, and Gary Bradski, the President and CEO of the OpenCV Foundation.
