Embraco will present benefits of hydrocarbons in ATMOsphere America 2014
Technology used in compressors helps reduce energy consumption and impact of harmful gases to the ozone layer, meeting the requirements established by the Department of Energy (DOE) for 2017.
SUWANEE, Ga., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Embraco, world leader in manufacturing hermetic compressors for refrigeration, will be one of the speakers at the next edition of ATMOsphere America 2014. The event will take place on June 18 - 19 at The Westin Market Street in San Francisco.
The meeting, aimed at leading retailers, industrial end users, component and system suppliers, training institutes and associations, is focused on discussing the trends, latest technologies and regulatory issues in the refrigeration sector. In its third edition in the United States, the central theme of the event will be "Business Case for natural refrigerants in North America".
Embraco's presentation will be on June 18th at 1:00pm, with the theme "How Embraco Propane Compressors Can Help You Reach 2017 'DOE' Requirements", in the Metropolitan III (the sponsor exhibition room). In the lecture, Doug Schmidt, commercial manager of cooling solutions for Embraco North America, will address the importance of companies adopting equipment with R-290 (hydrocarbon) technologies.
"In addition to reducing the environmental impact, the energy savings made possible by R-290 solutions, will help OEMs meet the new DOE regulations, which last month increased the energy efficiency level of light commercial equipment", says Schmidt.
The use of compressors developed for the gas addresses two mandatory factors in the post-modern world: reducing the retailer's electric bill and ecological sustainability for the planet. Hydrocarbon systems reduce the adverse impact of harmful global warming gases and energy consumption compared to synthetic fluids.
Known in European and Asian markets for their low impact on global warming, refrigeration compressors with hydrocarbons became a reality in the U.S. in 2011, with approval from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to the UN Environment Programme, 2010, it's expected that the use of hydrocarbons will more than double from 2012 to 2020 (33% to 75%).
Embraco has manufactured hydrocarbon compressors for over two decades. With more than 1,200 patents and 400 million products to date, its solid experience enables the company to develop the best sustainable technologies worldwide.
