BEDFORD, N.H., Oct. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Emerson Ecologics, LLC, the leading provider of professional-grade nutritional supplements to the healthcare practitioner market, today announced their partnership with Vitamin Angels in support of their 100 Days of Giving campaign. One hundred percent of customer, as well as, Emerson Ecologics' employee donations will be matched, up to $25,000, now through January 1, 2012.
"Nutrition is essential for good health. It is the very foundation of Emerson's philosophy and an integral part of the healing practices of the healthcare practitioners we serve," commented Lise Alschuler, ND, FABNO, vice president of quality and education, Emerson Ecologics. "When essential nutrients cannot be obtained through diet, nutritional supplements provide a viable alternative to supporting health. These children don't have access to the nutrition they need, putting their lives at risk. Vitamin A supplements may seem like such a simple solution, but the impact on these lives is profound."
"Emerson believes whole-heartedly in the Vitamin Angels mission and is proud, and passionate, to be helping them towards achieving their goal," said Andy Greenawalt, CEO, Emerson Ecologics. "We want to encourage our customers to contribute to this worthy cause as well. Through this matching donations program, we are helping other donors to the 100 Days of Giving campaign make their gift go twice as far."
"Emerson's commitment to our 100 Days of Giving campaign is huge," said Howard B. Schiffer, President, Vitamin Angels. "Emerson is fully committed to not only ensuring that their customers get the best in nutrition, they are also dedicated to making sure that millions of children around the world have the nutrients they need to lead meaningful and productive lives. We are proud to have Emerson's support on this important initiative!"
Vitamin A plays an essential role in the development and maintenance of a child's vision, immune system and structural integrity of cells. Vitamin Angels' cost to reach one child with vitamin A for one year is $0.25. The 100 Days of Giving campaign is part of Vitamin Angels' overall effort to increase their reach in 2012.
