Energy Plus® Partners with Temple University Alumni Association to Offer Members Ongoing Cash-Back Rewards on Electricity Services
Temple University Alumni Association Becomes Second Collegiate Organization to Join Energy Plus' Growing Partner Network
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Energy Plus Holdings, one of the nation's fastest-growing energy companies, announced its partnership with the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA), the second collegiate organization to join Energy Plus' growing partner network. Through the partnership, Energy Plus will offer Temple University's 275,000 alumni a variable rate on electricity and ongoing cash-back rewards for those living in Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and select service areas of Pennsylvania and Texas.
Now, the TUAA -- which serves as the umbrella organization for Temple's various school and college alumni associations -- will be able to offer its alumni exclusive benefits for enrolling with Energy Plus for electricity supply. Alumni will receive an activation bonus of $25 and cash-back every year on the supply portion of their electricity bill, enabling them to benefit from the money they already spend on electricity. The program also enables alumni to "go green" by offering a Green Option that supports 100 percent wind generated power, one of the cleanest forms of energy available.
"We're dedicated to offering our graduates a host of valuable benefits, and this partnership enables us to extend our support by bringing a unique and reliable service to thousands of alumni and their households," said Audrey Schneider, Assistant Vice President of Alumni Relations at Temple University. "We are pleased to partner with an organization that has such a successful track record of partnership with other institutions, as well as an established customer rewards program that will benefit our alumni." In addition to offering ongoing rewards and a green option, Energy Plus provides the same reliable service as the local utility company, without risk, fees or long-term commitment, making it the energy company of choice for a growing number of homes and businesses in states that allow electricity competition. Energy Plus serves over 180,000 customers in seven states, supplying billions of kilowatt-hours each year.
"Energy Plus welcomes Temple as the second alumni association to join our growing partner network, which includes almost 100 leading U.S. associations and businesses," said Kevin Kleinschmidt, president of Energy Plus. "Consumers today have a choice when it comes to their energy supplier, and we're pleased to help alumni take advantage of the opportunity to choose and get greater value out of their electricity service."
