ALLENTOWN, Pa., Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Energypath announces the reenergizing of the power lunch. The Energypath Power Lunch is a lunchtime sustainable energy education program that brings together energy users, free food and leading industry professionals with the purpose of enabling energy users to control energy costs, drive energy independence, mitigate risk of price escalation and reduce environmental impacts associated with energy use.
Unlike many events the Power Lunch is free and breaks down the often confusing world of energy into eight mouth sized bites. The small groups create opportunities for attendees to learn from leading professionals.
"We are very excited to have Sustainability guru John Costlow to open this year's series," stated Jennifer Hopkins, President Sustainable Energy Fund. She continued, "I cannot think of anyone more qualified to give an overview of Sustainable Energy technologies."
John Costlow will kick off this year's series with a Power Lunch titled "Introduction to Sustainable Energy." Mr. Costlow takes difficult, philosophical and often fragmented subjects such as sustainability and energy simplifying them, making them coherent and easy to understand. The next Power Lunch will be held in Allentown on September 8, at the Green Energy Center, 1005 Brookside in Lower Macungie Township near Allentown and on September 16th at Harrisburg Area Community College, Midtown on 1500 N. 3rd Street.
"We are very excited to have such great sponsors such as Giant, Target and Walmart who are demonstrating their commitment to renewable energy efficiency and are sponsoring these lunches," stated Jennifer Hopkins, president of Sustainable Energy Fund. She continued, "without the commitment of these companies these events would not be possible."
Scott Lindsay, program leader, states that "the energizing power lunches offers a quality educational experience as it is being taught by leading professionals that are in the field of the chosen topic." He continued, "the lunches are beneficial to a wide range of people including employees, business owners, and others that want to learn more about Sustainable technology."
