English On The Go has Launched LingoBot, the AI Chatting Bot Specifically Designed for English Learners
NEW YORK, Nov. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- English On The Go has long experimented ways to help English learners around the world to improve their English speaking skills. The best way to practice language skills is through conversation with English native speakers. However, it is not so easy to find English speakers if you do not live in the country concerned. To solve this problem, English On The Go turned its eyes to the virtual assistant technology.

However, English On The Go's CEO and founder Mark Kim says, "The virtual assistant model like Apple's Siri and Microsoft's Cortana is not suitable for English learning because most of the English learners do not even know what expressions to say to or to ask virtual assistants. What they need is the chatting bot that guides them to practice the most commonly used English expressions and that gives appropriate answers."
With the latest update to its English learning and teaching app, English On The Go allows users to chat with the LingoBot, which has 20 different bots in the bot market. Each bot has 20 to 50 questions related to a specific theme such as Gas Station, Traffic Accidents, Finding Locations and etc. The English expressions pre-loaded on the bots are smartly selected after studying more than 4,000 movie and drama transcripts and texts written in English.
Mark Kim says the more our chatting bot is used, the better and smarter questions and answers will be offered. The company also says many other bots are on the way in cooperation with language schools and it confirms the LingoBot Developer Kit will be open to the public soon, expecting to have more than 3,000 bots in 2017.
As the artificial intelligence sits on English On The Go's servers, an internet connection is required to use the feature.
FYI, English on the Go is the app designed to leverage social features to help students learn English more easily and to connect English learners and teachers around the world. English learners can interact with other learners, share English expressions, ask questions and receive answers.
The app allows teachers to create and share lectures in a snap from any Internet-connected smart phone. English On The Go facilitates the way to produce and distribute lectures to English learners around the globe.
It is also providing users with 1,777 commonly used English expressions based on their level of English.
English On The Go was developed by the company's founder and CEO, Mark Kim along with a team of five other developers and executives. The company is based in New York and Toronto.
