"Nespresso carefully crafted Envivo Lungo with a high proportion of Robusta coffee beans to produce a strong, full-bodied coffee," said Alexis Rodriguez, Head of Coffee Development at Nespresso. "We specifically use washed Robusta which gives a more refined taste to deliver a final product that is intense, but without any harshness on the palate."
Envivo Lungo has an intensity of nine on Nespresso's intensity scale of one to twelve, making it a perfect option for those who enjoy a longer, but still intense, cup of coffee in the morning. The Nespresso intensity scale has been created to help consumers differentiate between their favorite Grands Crus. The intensity is defined by three aspects – the roasted notes, the bitterness, and the body.
Envivo Lungo joins the range of five existing Nespresso Lungos, all designed to be enjoyed at a 3.7 ounce serving size, and is the most intense Grand Cru in the Lungo range:
- Fortissio Lungo – Intensity of eight – Rich and full-bodied
- Linzio Lungo – Intensity of four – Round and smooth
- Vivalto Lungo – Intensity of four – Complex and balanced
- Bukeela ka Ethiopia – Intensity of three – Floral and wild (Pure Origin)
- Vivalto Lungo Decaffeinato – Intensity of four – Complex and balanced (decaffeinated)
Envivo Lungo is a long cup that energizes the senses through its high intensity, generous character and full body. It is particularly appealing to intense espresso lovers who are searching for an intense longer cup. The coffee, which is meant to be enjoyed as a Lungo (3.7 oz.), has notes of aromatic dry wood, gingerbread and caramel, followed by a powerful and pleasant aftertaste.
When creating Envivo Lungo, Nespresso coffee experts were inspired by the traditional larger cup of morning coffee that many consumers enjoy with milk. Thus, Envivo Lungo also pairs in perfect harmony with milk while maintaining its distinctive intense flavor for an indulgent, rich, and full-bodied start to the day. For example, when it is savored as a Lungo Macchiato, with a touch of milk froth, Envivo Lungo becomes rounder while keeping its intense flavor profile. Similarly, when it is enjoyed as a Latte Macchiato, combined with the smoothness of milk froth, the Envivo Lungo Grand Cru expresses softened woody notes while developing round, indulgent and buttery aromas.
RECYCLING & AVAILABILITY
All Nespresso Grands Crus are packaged in aluminum, a material that preserves the quality and freshness of the coffee, and can be recycled over and over again. The Nespresso recycling program involves a partnership with UPS, covering the continental United States. Consumers can ship used capsules using a pre-paid UPS Nespresso recycling bag or drop their capsules off at over 500 collection points at Nespresso Boutiques and retailers across the country, making it easier than ever for Nespresso Club Members to recycle their capsules.
Envivo Lungo is a permanent addition to the Nespresso OriginalLine range which now consists of 24 Grands Crus. It will be available starting June 2016 at all Nespresso Boutiques (New York, Miami, Boston, San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Dallas, Newport Beach and Tysons Corner), Nespresso Boutique-in-Shop locations, through the Nespresso Club (1-800-562-1465) and on www.nespresso.com.
