BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- EnteGreat, a leader in manufacturing business technology system integration consulting services, today named John Billings as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Billings joins the company from Plex Systems, the leader in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ERP for manufacturing, where he was responsible for expanding the company's market presence beyond its core automotive segment and into the life sciences and food and beverage industries. At EnteGreat he will boost the company's activities in core sectors that include food and consumer packaged goods, beverages, life sciences and mill products. He will also extend its service solutions into the high-growth niche of optimizing energy efficiency at the process level in complex manufacturing environments. Billings replaces interim CEO Philip Hodges, who also serves on the company's Board of Directors.

Billings is a seasoned sales and business development executive with a career that spans a mix of Fortune 500 and smaller privately-owned companies. Before Plex, he spent three years at IBM as a Global Solutions Executive. There he drove IBM's On-demand Operating Environment solution where he defined the solution components, charted the go-to-market strategy, established key alliances, and shaped the sales and services execution model.
Billings began his career in 1988 at Rockwell Automation, where he served in a series of increasingly responsible positions. His last role there was General Manager, where he created and ran the company's professional services business of integration management for automation and MES.
He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan.
