Enterprise Center Announces Baby Boomer Transition Series
Innovative program addresses concerns of future retirees
SALEM, Mass., Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- It's happening. The baby boomers are ready to retire…or are they? With people living longer, staying healthy and keeping active, most 60-somethings are far from ready to sign up for a rocking chair. But what will they do? The Enterprise Center is offering a special three-session series designed specifically to help baby boomers plan for the years ahead.
Presented by Jack Beauregard and Paul Cronin of the Successful Transition Planning Institute, the first session, "Strategic Thinking About Your Future," takes place on Wednesday, October 10th, from 7 to 9 pm at the Enterprise Center. Subsequent sessions are scheduled for November 7th and December 5th. Each session costs $15.
"Retirement" is a loaded word. The newfound freedom it brings may be met with excitement—many are thinking of starting businesses, volunteering, or embarking on a new career. But for others, just the word "retirement" is enough to get them to break out in a cold sweat. They fear a boring existence, one without focus and lacking opportunity. This series focuses on answering three questions that can dispel fears and channel enthusiasm: How will your identity change? What are your concerns? What are your transition goals?
The series offers a rare opportunity for 60-somethings to stop, reflect and orchestrate their future with the guidance of presenters who are experts in helping people take the stress out of retirement. The Successful Transition Planning Institute (www.successfultransitionplanning.com) has received national recognition for its work with retirees on how to create success and significance in the next stage of life, a stage they call "The Platinum YearsSM," where the new challenges, new adventures, and a dynamic lifestyle await.
