"We are delighted to welcome Marta to Entravision and have her skills and experience to lead our political sales efforts," said Mr. Carrera. "Her strong foundations in local market broadcast, in addition to her unique experience in political media, make her the ideal candidate to be our Political Outreach Director. We are well positioned and look forward to Marta's leadership in this important and growing part of our business."
"I am thrilled to be joining the Entravision organization," says Salazar. I feel fortunate to be joining such a respected company, committed to both the U.S. Latino community and to top quality media platforms."
Salazar's appointment reinforces Entravision's commitment to the political process and serves to connect political advertisers with key U.S. Latino voters within Entravision's audience. Her appointment comes on the heels of the company's recently launched Tu Decides campaign, a comprehensive civic engagement effort designed to encourage and empower U.S. Latinos to apply for citizenship, register to vote, and/or to actively vote in the upcoming 2016 elections.
