Environmental Data Resources Named CODiE Award Finalist for Best Consumer Information Resource for Environmental Issues Report
MILFORD, Conn., Dec. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Data Resources Inc., (EDR), the leader in property-specific environmental information and risk management solutions, has been selected as one of three finalists for the Software & Information Industry Association's (SIIA) annual CODiE Award for Best Consumer Information Resource for EDR's Environmental Issues Report service.
The Environmental Issues Report was created to help current and prospective homeowners ensure their family's safety by reporting on key neighborhood environmental risks that could compromise their health and their home's value. The report searches five continually updated databases of environmental records to give users a clear picture of potential threats. The search maps Superfund sites, toxic spills, landfills, clandestine drug labs and other potential environmental red flags.
"Let's face it; no one is going to tell you you're living near a toxic spill site, or that your children are playing near an abandoned meth lab. You'll have to find that out for yourself," said Rob Barber, CEO of EDR. "The Environmental Issues Report provides potential buyers and current occupants with easy access to the most comprehensive environmental hazard database in the nation."
The SIIA CODiE Awards recognize excellence in the business software, digital content, and education technology industries. Nominated products and services receive a thorough review from seasoned industry experts who can identify strengths and give significant insights for improvements. In 27 years, SIIA has recognized more than 1,000 companies for achieving greatness in industries that expect innovative thinking and demand market validation.
