Envision Solar Announces Major Technology Advancement for Solar Tree® Array
New Pre-Engineered Purlin Sections for Solar Tree® Array Facilitates Fast & Easy Installation of Envision Solar's Drag & Drop Infrastructure™ Product Line
SAN DIEGO, Nov. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Envision Solar International, Inc. ("Envision Solar") (OTC BB: EVSI), a leading sustainable infrastructure product designer and developer, today announced that the company has successfully completed the engineering, manufacturing and deployment of its new pre-engineered purlin structures for Solar Tree® Arrays. The first of these structures were deployed in Colorado and California for separate customers. A significant improvement from prior methods, the new engineered purlin structures are part of Envision Solar's Drag & Drop Infrastructure™ product line that offers much faster, more efficient deployment of the Solar Tree® structures.
Envision Solar's President and CEO, Desmond Wheatley, says, "This is another example of our using technology to improve our products and reduce our deployment time: Drag & Drop Infrastructure™ allows us to get in and out of customer premises with the least amount of disruption. Our competitor's products may sometimes be cheaper but our customers don't want their parking lots dug up for weeks at a time and our highly engineered products will have lower life cycle costs. We have just completed a Solar Tree® array installation, in a highly complex environment, in four and half days. Our customers get the value of the Solar Tree® structures right away and the speed of deployment helps them get the tax incentives faster too."
Pre-engineered purlin sections arrive at the customer site as part of a complete kit which includes everything that is needed to install Envision Solar's signature tracking Solar Tree® structure. The sections are fabricated in a factory environment, which allows for the highest quality assurance and the least amount of field activity. This means that Envision Solar's customers get the best products every time while the company controls costs and reduces risks associated with field labor. The new purlin structures form an important part of the company's Drag and Drop Infrastructure™, which is designed to enable the swift deployment of the large volumes of the company's products anticipated for 2013 installations.
