FREDERICKSBURG, Va., Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- EOIR Technologies, Inc. has announced today its win of a $44.9M Task Order under the US Navy's SeaPort-e ID/IQ contract.
The Task Order provides services to the Directed Energy Division (Q20) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in the development, testing and implementation of Counter Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) systems and operations.
The Task Order also provides the deployment and sustainment of Directed Energy (DE) systems and capabilities for the Military Services in support of current and future military operations. Dr. Joe Mackin, President & CEO of EOIR made the announcement.
EOIR has supported the US Navy and Marine Corps in Zone 2 (National Capital) through the SeaPort-e contract since May 2005. As a prime contractor on this effort, EOIR brings 30 years of experience in DoD science and engineering research and development, including a large system integration effort for the NSWCDD.
