The GEELA program, administered by the Governor's Office, California EPA and other state agencies, recognizes individuals, organizations, and businesses who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made notable contributions in conserving California's natural resources, protecting the environment, building public-private partnerships and strengthening the State's economy.

GEELA is a competitive award; of hundreds of applications, the Governor's office selects one winner in each of ten categories.   EOS won in the Climate Change category, based on effectiveness and scale of emissions reductions to-date, generated from its comprehensive system for high GWP refrigerant management.   Other award-winning criteria include EOS' direct benefits to California's economy – including jobs created, transferability/ scalability of its business to multiple sectors, and spirit of innovation/uniqueness.

In other honors this month, EOS Climate was voted Best Offset Originator North American Markets (California) and Runner-up, Best Project Developer North American Markets, in Environmental Finance and Carbon Finance 12th Annual Market Survey.  It is the closest watched survey of leading participants in the carbon, US emissions, weather risk management and renewable energy certificate market.
