Epilepsy is a chronic medical disorder or condition in which the brain is overactive, sending too many signals, usually resulting in unpredictable, unprovoked recurrent seizures that affect a variety of mental and physical functions. Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological disorder, affecting more than 65 million individuals worldwide.
