Noll, as a member of its 2016 "Trading Technology 40" list, an annual ranking of the industry's top innovators and visionaries. Members of the top 40 list are selected based on their notable professional accomplishments and contributions to the industry.
The Trading Technology 40 ranking is determined by a group of Institutional Investor editors, with input from industry experts. The leadership criteria includes: "career accomplishments and notable contributions to the industry at large; scope and complexity of executive responsibilities; and pure technological innovation."

In 2015, Eric was selected by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to be a member of its Equity Market Structure Advisory Committee and was recently selected to Chair the SEC Market Quality Subcommittee.
