YPSILANTI, Mich., March 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Robert Bobb, emergency finance manager of Detroit Public Schools, will be the keynote speaker for the Eastern Michigan University College of Business Fourth Annual Ethos Week, March 15-19. Bobb will speak at the closing luncheon March 19, 1:40-2:30 p.m.
Bobb is among a strong lineup of speakers who echo the values and focus of Ethos Week, said David Mielke, dean of the College of Business.
"It is very positive to have speakers from all types of companies who truly care about business ethics and can relate the ethical issues they have faced to our students," Mielke said.
Eastern Michigan's Ethos Week is the first of its kind offered by any business school in the country. The genesis of the week came about in 2006, when College of Business faculty decided that it wanted to develop a strong statement of ethics and values. The resulting Ethos Statement, the first adopted by any business school in the country, lists six values as the core for the college: integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, respect, learning and work ethic.
