European Entrepreneur Bullish on Outlook of Smart City in China
WANNING, China, Oct. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- European entrepreneurs are bullish on the outlook of smart city in China, with more than 190 cities are conducting a pilot exercise in China.

Juho Rissanen, vice president of DigiEcoCity told reporter in Preparatory Conference For Global Smart City Summit in Wanning Xinglong, their company is trying to help some cities in China to construct smart city. It is expected to go into concrete practice in a few years.
"Because the population, China's urbanization is one unprecedented gigantic project, we hope the introduction of smart city could be helpful for the project," said Rissanen, adding they also aim to take part in the construction of smart city in China, where the concept of smart city is quietly emerging. DigiEcoCity Ltd. is one Finnish company already signed two joint venture contracts in China, which develops smart city concepts based on ecological principals and new innovations in digital technology.
The first city groundbreaking ceremony took place in Gongqingcheng 2010, and the other city will be built to Danyang with the groundbreaking ceremony taking place in 2011.
China is in the process of great urbanization and the market potential for developing city is huge, we hope more Chinese companies could work with us to advance this smart city project, said by Rissanen.
