Excel Dentistry and Mayra Modesto-Garrido is Hosting a Free Day of Dentistry with Dentistry From The Heart

GLEN ROCK, N.J., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Mayra Modesto-Garrido is out to change lives by offering free smiles to anyone who needs dental work, as she hosts the latest event for Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) on Saturday November 13, 2010 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The media is invited to join, Dr. Mayra Modesto-Garrido and her team of dentists and volunteers to help people in need of dental work – treating patients in need of fillings, extractions and cleanings.

Dentistry From The Heart (www.dentistryfromtheheart.org) is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. Founded in 2001 by a Dr. Vincent Monticciolo in New Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn't an option for many of the uninsured. In the past seven years, DFTH has helped more than 25,000 patients and provided over $5.5 million in dental care, as a means to give back to the community and address the growing number of people with-out dental insurance.

Dr. Mayra Modesto-Garrido and her volunteers will treat the first 150 patients, or however many they can service by 5:00 pm at Excel Dentistry, P.C. at 266 Harristown Rd. Suite 102 Glen Rock, NJ 07452. Since 1994, Excel Dentistry has serviced Bergen and Passaic County as a patient-focused practice, providing their professional dentistry services and making smiles shine bright.
