HAMILTON, Bermuda, July 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd., an owner and operator of dry bulk carriers and an international provider of worldwide seaborne transportation services for dry bulk cargoes, today announced that it has extended the deadline for entitled lenders to vote on the Joint Prepackaged Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization of Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd. and Certain of Its Affiliates (the "Plan") to July 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. (New York City time).
