WASHINGTON, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers' (ICANN) late-night announcement proposing a surprising new procedure for batching new gTLD applications and accelerating the launch of new Web addresses, FairWinds Partners, the leading global domain name strategy consultancy, kicks off FairWinds Toronto at ICANN 45 on Sunday, October 14 in Toronto, Canada. FairWinds' four-day event coincides with ICANN's 45th Public Meeting in Toronto, which will be a crucial time for brand owners to receive important updates on new gTLDs and experience the ICANN process firsthand. FairWinds Toronto will feature insightful workshops for brand owners, one-on-one meetings with FairWinds' ICANN experts and with influential members of the ICANN community, social outings, and more.
