Fall in Love with Frisco at Fall Fest
Frisco hosts Autumn event with the Lumberjills, woodcarvers and a Colorado Proud Farmers' Market
FRISCO, Colo., Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Frisco is offering plenty of ways to Fall in Love with Fall this year. On September 7, 2013 Frisco will host Fall Fest, a day-long celebration of everything Fall. The event will include the Lumberjills, an art show, the Mt. Royal Hill Climb and a Colorado Proud Farmers' Market. This event will be the perfect mountain getaway to enjoy cool mountain temperatures and view the colors of Fall.
Fall Fest will feature Timber Tina's World Champion Lumberjills, who will perform logrolling, power sawing, speed carving and more. Kids will have a great souvenir to take home after the show. In addition, visitors will enjoy woodcarvers along Main Street, a cake walk (musical chair games), bounce houses and free face painting for the kids. Fall Fest will raise much-needed money to help support the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District.
Art enthusiasts revel at the two-day Colorado Meet the Artist show and silent auction. This two-day event on September 7th and September 8th will showcase fine art, sculptures, photography and more by Colorado artisans. Find the piece that speaks to you or bid on one of the silent auction items to raise money for the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District.
This year Fall Fest will offer something new for attendees – a Colorado Proud Farmers' Market featuring products grown, raised or processed locally in Colorado.
For the active outdoor lovers, the Mt. Royal Hill Climb is taking place at 8:30 am to get the best views of the Autumn season. After your climb, enjoy the food and festivities along Main Street and hear live music from the Grant Farm Band at 2:30 pm.
Attendees looking for a colorful adventure can use Frisco as their home base as they set out on one of dozens of scenic roadways and trails in Summit County. Check at the Visitors Center to find the best hikes and drives in the area.
