Family Recovery Weekend to Take Place at Sedona Mago Retreat
SEDONA, Ariz., Feb. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sedona Mago Retreat will hold a Family Recovery Weekend, for those who are dealing with addiction within their family circle.
In the U.S. there are more than 18 million people with a drinking or drug problem, and only 10 percent of them will ever get help. But every individual with a drinking problem disrupts the lives of at least four other people—the child who loses a parent due to a drunken driving accident, careers that are ruined, marriages and families that are destroyed by addiction . Of the estimated 72 million Americans affected by someone else's drinking, most will not get help for themselves and many will never even realize that they could have benefited from some insight into the problems caused by another person's drinking.
Help is available.
February 17-19th, 2017, The Sedona Recovery Series is presenting, "The Obstacles Are the Spiritual Path" a practical explanation of steps that can be taken to successfully deal with the challenge of alcoholism /addiction whether the family member is in recovery or not. These same principles also work for people who have yet to find a language to communicate with a spouse or partner in recovery.
This weekend is designed to inform and invigorate relationships and is for family members just coming to grips with the dynamic addiction causes in a family and is also or those who have been working with these principles for years.
People who are experiencing pain in their relationships with addicts and alcoholics that have yet to find recovery are invited to disengage from the busy world and get a new perspective of how alcoholism/ addiction is impacting them. More significantly, they will be provided with tools that will help them not only survive but thrive in the maelstrom of addiction.
During this weekend, attendees will discover a way to be more loving to themselves and to those they are attempting to control/help. It will explain the simple method that over 250,000 family members have used to find recovery.
The Sedona Recovery Series takes place at Sedona Mago Retreat, presenting opportunities for the public to attend intimate multi-speaker weekends with dozens, rather than hundreds of attendees. These experiences are also designed to invigorate those who have been on the recovery path for many years.
