Fantasy Football Fans Rank A.J. Green As Number One Draft Choice
Contrary to popular belief, Adrian Peterson isn't the number one choice for Fantasy Football drafts this year
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- With Fantasy Football drafts right around the corner, Bubblews, a new social networking company found that wide receiver A.J. Green is the number one pick. The company analyzed social sentiment data from over 22 million visitors around the world, taking ESPN's top 20 fantasy players and re-ranking them, reflecting fantasy football fans' true top choices. A RB or QB for first pick might not be what fans want this year.
Results:
- Number one draft choice: wide receiver A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals
- In full Beast Mode, moving up the ranks to number two: running back Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks
- Only three out of the top six picks by the Bubblews community were running backs, while ESPN chose all six
- Coming in last choice of the top 20, running back Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings
Bubblews user and longtime player Pat White commented: "This list, determined by sentiment analysis of posts by Bubblews' members seems to be pretty strong, although I would want to see Calvin 'Megatron' Johnson in my top 3. I'm also a bit biased and think Tavon Austin should be at least an alternate. I also find it interesting that ESPN has Adrian Peterson ranked as #1 and this list has him last. It's nice to see such a differing opinion." - &PatWhite.
