Fathers' Rights Attorney Jeffery M. Leving Empowers Divorced Dads on WCIU-TV
CHICAGO, June 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, June 16, nationally renowned family law attorney, and celebrated Fathers' Rights author Jeffery M. Leving will appear again on the You & Me morning show in Chicago (broadcast on WCIU-Channel 26, at 6:30 a.m.) discussing legal tips for divorced dads for Fathers' Day.
On a day fathers are honored, too many children face emotional abandonment due to their father's absence on Fathers' Day. This leaves children with deep feelings of rejection and no dad for Fathers' Day. Tragically, there are fatherless children who have not really been abandoned, but instead their loving dads have been kicked to the curb.
Many fathers experience parenting obstacles during a divorce such as not having proper funds to obtain a lawyer to fight for their basic paternal rights. Leving's book Fathers' Rights reports that children who live absent their biological fathers are, on average, at least two to three times more likely to be poor, to use drugs, to experience education, health, emotional and behavioral trouble. A father's absence is a harmful trend that needs to be reversed. Justice should not be a luxury only the rich can afford.
This Jeffery Leving feature will address issues on paternal rights and give insight on how fathers can better connect with their children not only on Fathers' Day but all other days. Fatherhood is a lifelong journey and Jeffery Leving works tirelessly to ensure all fathers can be there for their children.
Attorney Jeffery M. Leving has been named one of "America's Best Lawyers" by Forbes Radio and is the country's leading authority on Fathers' Rights. He has dedicated more than 30 years to strengthening healthy families and improving outcomes for children. He founded the Fatherhood Educational Institute, which provides critical parenting skills to fathers and seeks to eliminate father absence. Leving's latest book, How to be a Good Divorced Dad, received praise from President Barack Obama, and was endorsed by Archbishop Francis George of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
