Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies to sponsor July 3 fireworks display
COLUMBUS, Ind., June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies in Columbus, Ind., announced that it will help sponsor the fireworks display during the "Columbus Regional Health's QMIX Musical Fireworks 25" event on Thursday, July 3.
Held at the Columbus Municipal Airport, this year's display will mark the silver anniversary of the free Independence Day celebration. More than 50,000 people are expected to attend, making it the largest single-day event in Bartholomew County.
"Faurecia is extremely proud to sponsor one of the cornerstone events in our area. We've called the Columbus area home since 2010 and this sponsorship is a reflection of our commitment to the community," said Mark Stidham, President of Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies (FECT) in North America.
Spectators are encouraged to empty out their piggy banks for a good cause this year. Attendees can donate quarters, which will be collected for the Love Chapel food pantry in honor of 25 years of fireworks. The Love Chapel is a long-time Faurecia partner for the company's corporate giving initiative, Faurecia Unites with Employees for Local Service (FUELS).
In addition to the annual FUELS initiative, Faurecia participates in a variety of ongoing service-oriented and charitable causes through its four business groups and all 47 individual sites, including initiatives associated with providing food, housing and education as well as opportunities for employee volunteerism.
The family fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with games, face-painting for kids and food for the whole family. Easterling Entertainment will provide a free magic show at 6 p.m. to get the crowd warmed up for the spectacular, patriotic and choreographed-to-music fireworks display at 10 p.m.
