Faya8.com Unveils Plans to Use Crowdfunding for Its Unstainable Dresses
SHENZHEN, China, Aug. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As crowdfunding becomes increasingly popular, many innovators are now turning to it in order to bring their creative ideas to fruition. Today, Faya8.com revealed that it will be the latest company to turn to the crowd for funding. It unveiled plans to use crowdfunding to bring its groundbreaking unstainable dresses to the market.

The unstainable dresses, which use the latest nanotechnology to repel stains, have captured the imagination of nanotech enthusiasts since they were first unveiled. They have also caught the attention of venture capitalists.
According to sources at Faya8.com, several venture capitalists approached the company and offered to invest in the development of the dresses. However, the company turned down the venture capitalists and opted to use crowdfunding instead.
"We opted to choose the crowd over venture capitalists for one simple reason," said Eon Chen, the CEO of Faya8. "We strongly believe that our nano dresses will benefit everyone. As such, we want to give would-be buyers an opportunity to invest in bringing the dresses to the market."
Mr. Chen added that he believes that through crowdfunding, enough funds will be raised to lower production costs. This will enable the company to sell the nano dresses at the same price as non-nano dresses, and thereby make them more accessible.
Such accessibility wouldn't have been possible with venture capitalists. This is because a venture capitalist investment isn't perfect. It typically involves shared ownership by the investors. This ultimately increases the overall costs of the product. In the end, the product becomes more expensive. Faya8.com's overriding goal was to make the nano wedding dresses as affordable as ordinary dresses.
Faya8.com revealed that it intends to use a Chinese crowdfunding platform to raise funds. It also has already set up a crowdfunding page for international fans (indiegogo.com/projects/world-s-first-unstainable-dresses-liquid-repellent) through which backers can make donations.
About The Nano Dresses
Faya8.com's nano celebrity dresses and wedding dresses (aka unstainable dresses) are made out of a fabric coated with nanoparticles. The nanoparticles form a protective layer upon the fabric. This prevents staining liquids such as coffee, red wine, soup and syrup from penetrating the fabric. Even if such liquids drop on the fabric, they remain atop the nano particles and can be shaken off or wiped gently off. Either way, they do not leave a permanent stain. More details about the nano dresses can be found on the Faya8.com website, www.faya8.com/page.html?id=26.
