Houston musicians and vocalists generously volunteered time for "Feed the Future" while also entertaining NFL, Patriots and Falcons, City of Houston and private hospitality functions around the city all week. The production includes numerous cameos of locals and guests saying "Feed the Future and Love our Children" in English, Hindi, Cantonese, Spanish and German reflecting the cultural diversity that makes Houston such a vibrant city.
"I was proud to work with such talented musicians and walk our streets with the film crew meeting many visiting guests and Houstonians who were thrilled to be part of something so positive," added co-producer Tan Truong from his West Side Recording Studio in Sugar Land. "Houston can be proud of those who poured their hearts into what might be 'We Are The World' for generation next. The song speaks for itself."
THE PRODUCER'S CHALLENGE musicians around the U.S. and the world to rep their cities and record their own unique versions of Feed The Future. Truong commented, "This should be a community effort not just the best band in town which means someone will have step up and lead. We hope this or one of the coming challenge versions goes big. Mandela called it an UBUNTU moment meaning 'I am because we are.' That's the spirit of the song."
All recordings submitted to administrators of the Feed The Future Houston YouTube channel by July 1, 2017 will be reviewed by a panel of top music industry professionals. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards of recognition will be issued and the winner will receive national PR for their contribution.
