Fiduciary Trust Promotes Stacy K. Mullaney To Chief Fiduciary Officer
BOSTON, Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Fiduciary Trust Company ("Fiduciary") today announced that Stacy K. Mullaney has been promoted to the new position of Chief Fiduciary Officer. She will assume this new role effective immediately and will report directly to Austin V. Shapard, Fiduciary's President & CEO.
Ms. Mullaney will be the first Chief Fiduciary Officer in Fiduciary Trust Company's 130 year history. The position was created following the announced retirement of Robert N. Karelitz, Fiduciary's General Counsel who has overseen these activities and is retiring after 41 years at the company.

In this role, Ms. Mullaney will oversee the company's fiduciary responsibilities to its clients and their families. She will also be responsible for the delivery of comprehensive estate planning and settlement services. Ms. Mullaney has more than 20 years of experience in the private wealth management industry. She joined Fiduciary Trust Company in 2004, serving as Vice President, Trust Counsel and, most recently, as Director of Estate Administration. She is a member of the Company's Board of Directors, Management Committee and Trust Committee. Ms. Mullaney held previous positions in the wealth management industry at Bank of America, and its predecessors Fleet Bank and Bank of Boston. She began her legal career at Ropes & Gray in Boston. Ms. Mullaney holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Stanford University School of Law, a postgraduate degree in Economics from the University of Sussex, England, and a B.A. in Economics from Simmons College.
Ms. Mullaney is co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Trusts and Estates Continuing Legal Education Committee, a member of the Boston and American Bar Associations, and a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council. She is a frequent lecturer on the topics of estate planning, estate administration, trust administration and taxation.
