Field Trip Factory and Ahold USA to Host 2011 Dietitian Summit Health & Wellness: A Global Perspective
Dietitians Weigh In on Global Best Practices and Trends for Local Impact
CHICAGO, Nov. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Field Trip Factory, the nation's leading provider of hands-on, immersion learning experiences, will host its third annual Dietitian Summit in 2011 with Ahold USA. The primary goal of this intimate gathering of leading health, wellness and nutrition experts is to help the food industry better support consumer health where it matters most, in the aisles of the nation's grocery stores. The two-day event will be held May 18-20, at the GIANT Community Center in Willow Grove, PA.
The forum will include leading nutrition, supermarket and food industry experts from the United States and abroad. Previous Summits were held in Phoenix, AZ, and Chicago, IL, and attendees have included Kellogg's, General Mills, PepsiCo, Del Monte, Ahold USA, SUPERVALU, Giant Eagle, Hannaford, H-E-B, Lowes Foods, Meijer, and more.
"We're thrilled to continue the powerful conversation about how food retailers can impact consumer health," said Susan Singer, President and Founder of Field Trip Factory. "As the American population continues to grow in its diversity, a global understanding of health and wellness is necessary for all food retail dietitians. Our partnership with Ahold USA will open up the discussion to include this critical international perspective."
National and international health and wellness trends and the local application of best practices will be the focal points of this year's Summit. Social media will also play a role in the meeting content, as Twitter followers can interact with Summit attendees @dietitiansummit.
