For the fifth consecutive year, Fieldglass ranks highest in total spend under management, with $27.4 billion in 2012. This year's report uncovered several trends:
Fieldglass' market share continues to grow. The company's spend accounts for 31 percent of the total market, up from 20 percent in 2011. In addition, Fieldglass has the most programs in all spend categories between $10 million and $300+ million, demonstrating its ability to provide value to a wide range of contingent workforce programs.
The gap between providers widens, both in spend and geography. Fieldglass has $10 billion more in spend under management than its nearest competitor. The company also continues to gain market share outside of the United States, especially as its global capabilities, such as its ability to manage complex rates and regulatory requirements, has enabled Fieldglass to meet the unique needs of a global customer base. Fieldglass leads the industry in VMS programs in North America, South America, Eastern Europe and Asia-Pacific, and has the most programs in Western Europe of any US-based provider.
Organizations are becoming more sophisticated in their management of services categories. In addition to both total and temporary labor spend, Fieldglass has the highest Statement of Work (SOW) spend in the industry. As such, the company has evolved its technology to enable better services management, as customers move from simply incorporating this spend into VMS programs to becoming mature, strategic users of SOWs.
