"Year over year, we are amazed by the talent and creativity the Game Marketing Awards spotlight and this year is no exception," said Carolyn Feinstein, senior vice president, Global Consumer Marketing, Electronic Arts and Game Marketing Board of Governors Co-Chairman. "The 2014 finalists exhibit the kind of pioneering work that is driving innovation across interactive game marketing and we look forward to celebrating at this year's ceremony on April 23rd."
This year, for the first time, the judging process was made more rigorous by introducing a two-tier judging process that begins with a panel of industry and peer professionals, which ultimately determined the 2014 Game Marketing finalist list. The inaugural elite jury, comprised of leaders from all areas of the game industry, will hold a final round of judging where they will review all finalist entries to determine the Gold and Silver winners in the 2014 GMA competition, which will be announced on April 23 at the event hosted by Al Madrigal.
This more competitive process amplifies the achievement of the winners of the Game Marketing Awards, an honor recognized as an icon of excellence and innovation in the video game and interactive entertainment industry. The 2014 inaugural jury is an elite group comprised of the following industry leaders: Aaron Sternlicht, Chief Creative Officer & Founder, Modus Operandi; Cara Scharf, President, Fearless Media; David Getson, CEO & Partner, G-Net; Jonathan Anastas, VP, Global Brand Marketing, Head of Digital & Social Media, Activision; Rey Andrade, Creative Director, 72andSunny; Rob Troy, Co-President & Executive Creative Director, Ant Farm; Ryan Cameron, Sr. Global Marketing Communications Manager, XBOX; Sarah Anderson, SVP of Marketing, 2K; Scott Bishoff, Group Account Director, OMD; and Tony Key, SVP Sales & Marketing, Ubisoft.
