First East Coast Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar to Open December 13 in Clifton, New Jersey
20 percent of sales opening week (12/13-17) to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton
CLIFTON, N.J., Dec. 7, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Zinburger, a lively new concept centering on gourmet burgers combined with perfectly paired wine selections, will open its doors Monday, December 13 at the Promenade Shops at Clifton. A unique array of salads, side dishes, microbrews and hand dipped milkshakes round out the menu. With locations in Tucson and Phoenix, this will be the first Zinburger on the east coast.
During opening week (12/13-17), Zinburger will donate 20 percent of sales to the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton. For over 60 years, the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton has been providing daily programs and services, including day care, recreational and educational activities and social services for youth ages 2 1/2 to 18 in a safe, supervised environment.
Prepared with primo ingredients such as Certified Angus Beef, Kobe Steak, Free Range Turkey Breast, and Ahi Tuna, all burgers are cooked to order on a griddle in their own juices and served on a lightly buttered, brioche style bun.
"Zinburger has an almost cult following in Arizona," said Brad Honigfeld, chief executive officer of BH ZB, LLC (a subsidiary of the Briad Group), the company that acquired the license agreement to develop the concept in New Jersey. We are excited to bring this upscale wine and burger bar to the New Jersey and New York area."
The lineup includes seven signature burgers including the Zinburger ($10 – with Manchego Cheese & Zinfandel Braised Onions); the Kobe Burger ($14 – with Vermont Cheddar & Wild Mushrooms); the Turkey Burger ($10 - with Swiss Cheese, Avocado and Mayo); and Clint's Almost Famous Vegetable Burger ($9 – with Smoked Mozzarella and Tomato Marmalade); plus a build your own burger with 15 topping selections such as Maytag Blue Cheese, Roasted Peppers or Fried Egg.
Side selections priced from $5 to $6 include generous portions of Hand Cut Fries, Double Truffle Fries, Sweet Potato Fries (with yogurt dipping sauce) and Zucchini Fries. Hearty salad selections include the BLT Salad ($5/$8 – with Nueske's Maple Bacon and Cowboy Ranch Dressing); the Roasted Chicken Salad ($12 – with Organic Greens, Pomegranate, Marcona Almonds and Goat Cheese Dressing; $9 without chicken); and the Seared Ahi Salad ($13 – with Chopped Greens, Avocado, Cashews and Ginger Miso Vinaigrette).
A dessert menu featuring old fashioned delights includes hand-dipped milkshakes and floats ($6), plus Banana Cream Pie ($5). Eight decadent shake/float flavors include popular-inspired creations such as Creme Brulee, Strawberry Cheesecake and Bananas Foster.
An important part of the Zinburger culture, the wine selections are thoughtfully chosen to complement the food selections. The wine menu includes 21 varieties affordably priced from $5 to $15 a glass. A selection of 8 beers on tap, including 2 microbrews are offered for the beer lover.
Zinburger offers a full bar and daily happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
