First Lady Susan Corbett Marks Veterans Day, Tours Pennsylvania Military Museum
BOALSBURG, Pa., Nov. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- First Lady Susan Corbett today honored Pennsylvania's military men and women by touring the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg, Centre County. The museum celebrates the state's rich military history and emphasizes the 20th century roles of Pennsylvania-based units.
"It is an honor for me to be here today to recognize the sacrifices that Pennsylvania service men and women make to keep our citizens safe," said Mrs. Corbett. "On Veterans Day, we should all take a moment to remember their commitment and courage."
The Pennsylvania Military Museum has given visitors a unique look at the story of our citizen-soldiers since 1969. It is part of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission's "Pennsylvania Trails of History." Learn more online at www.pamilmuseum.org.

In addition to promoting popular attractions, she will work to bring attention to the state's lesser-known gems.
"Pennsylvania has many unique historical sites and cultural attractions, like the Pennsylvania Military Museum," said Mrs. Corbett. "From the historic events that have shaped our nation today, to world-class museums and breathtaking scenery, Pennsylvania has so much to offer and it is my pleasure to take on this new role."
As an ambassador for Pennsylvania tourism, Mrs. Corbett will be making stops throughout the state to highlight tourist attractions. She will also promote Pennsylvania as a destination for travelers at home and abroad. Learn more about tourism in Pennsylvania at www.visitpa.com.
