FirstEnergy Severe Summer Storm Outage Update
AKRON, Ohio, July 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Service has been restored to more than 450,000 FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE) customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia who lost power following last Friday's devastating wind and thunderstorms.
Crews continue working around-the-clock and through the holiday to restore power to more than 111,000 customers who remain without power. The current FirstEnergy storm-related outage totals by utility include:
- Mon Power – 105,200 customers
- Potomac Edison – 6,000 customers
To report an outage, customers should call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877).
