Fleishman-Hillard Names Richard Dale Director of Strategic Account Planning
New Role Will Support Development of Integrated Communications Solutions for North American Operations
ST. LOUIS, Oct. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleishman-Hillard International Communications today announced the appointment of integrated marketing veteran Richard Dale as senior vice president, senior partner and director of strategic account planning for North America. In the newly created position, Dale will work with Fleishman-Hillard's North American regional presidents, general managers, practice group leaders and client relationship managers to develop a new and proprietary strategic client planning process that will strengthen and support the firm's integrated communications solutions.
"In this rapidly evolving era of social business, insight-based campaigns and content marketing, Fleishman-Hillard has a rich opportunity to be the most complete communications agency our clients could ever need," said Dave Senay, Fleishman-Hillard president and CEO. "Strategic account planning will be a real competitive advantage in driving the growth of our clients' market opportunities, as well as the growth of our firm. Richard's proven talents as both a truly integrated marketer and an innovative strategic planner equip him to ensure that we make the most of that advantage. He's a great addition to our global team."
Dale will be based at Fleishman-Hillard's New York office and will report to both Steve Hardwick, the company's Eastern region president, and to Jack Modzelewski, president of the Americas. He comes to Fleishman-Hillard from Leo Burnett in Asia, where he spent more than six years, initially as director of strategic and engagement planning for the agency's Asia Pacific operations and, most recently, as chief planning officer of Leo Burnett Group China. While in Asia, Dale served a range of world-class brands that included Bacardi, BMW, Coca-Cola, Fiat, McDonald's, Siemens and Pfizer. In addition to developing a future-forward planning process for clients, he also led internal and external workshops that became the foundation for client brand architectures, product innovation and integrated marketing programs.
Prior to Leo Burnett, Dale spent several years at Bates as a senior vice president and global account director. He started his career as a media director at Wieden and Kennedy and also worked in media planning at Deutsch.
A native of the Midwest, Dale holds a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Missouri. He and his wife live in Connecticut.
