Fleishman-Hillard's Dave Senay Named 2013 Chairman of the Council of Public Relations Firms
ST. LOUIS, Oct. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Council of Public Relations Firms has named Dave Senay, Fleishman-Hillard president and CEO, as its chairman for 2013, effective Dec. 1, 2012, through November 2013.
"The public relations business has never offered more exciting opportunities to grow as professionals and serve our clients in extraordinary new ways," said Senay. "I'm honored to take on this role, and I look forward to working with the board of directors to build on the exceptional work the Council is already doing in such areas as recruiting diverse talent, maximizing digital opportunities and establishing best practices with procurement clients.
"In particular, I look forward to cultivating and advancing an industrywide culture that emphasizes ethical business decision-making," Senay added. "Now, more than ever, our clients need to know that we bring the highest standards of honesty and integrity to everything we do for them. By the same token, we are well-equipped to help them navigate through times of ethical ambiguity."
Senay has been active on the Council's board since 2006, most recently serving as chair of the 2012 Critical Issues Forum, the Council's signature annual event. He also is actively involved in other industry organizations, including the PR Seminar and the Arthur W. Page Society. In addition, he served as the PR jury president at the 2011 Cannes International Festival of Creativity.
"Dave Senay is a proven leader with a clear vision of what the public relations industry needs to reach greater heights," said Kathy Cripps, president of the Council of Public Relations Firms, in announcing the appointment. "Dave has already contributed a great deal to the Council, as a board member, and this year as chair of the Critical Issues Forum. He brings an impressive mix of intelligence and passion. Our members are going to benefit from Dave's leadership."
