DRAPER, Utah, Aug. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (FLXT) today announced recent purchase orders by two international companies. 300 sensors were ordered by each company for use in gloves which will provide motion feedback. A Swiss company will use Flexpoint's sensors for patient rehabilitation, while an Italian company will implement the sensors in virtual reality feedback devices. Both companies are developers of innovative technology and plan to use the sensors in commercialized products.
The purchase orders confirm growing interest in the use of Flexpoint's sensors for motion feedback. With two international companies as its newest customers, Flexpoint maintains its position as a leader in the sensor technology industry with regard to measuring range of motion. Flexpoint has long been recognized by universities for its sensor and products educational value, but recent projects and purchase orders prove the value of the sensors in the commercial industry.
The purchase orders by the Swiss and Italian companies follow Flexpoint's 2014 second quarter financial results report, which announced the completion of the electronics and software for use in a running shoe and the continued work on the colonoscope product for Haemoband Surgical, Ltd.
