Florida Animal Friend and Frankel Media Group's Partnership Proves Strong
TAMPA, Fla., June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Animal Friend, an organization dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted cats and dogs throughout the state of Florida, announced the tremendous increase in grant submissions in 2014. Through collaborative marketing efforts led by Frankel Media Group (FMG), a Gainesville, Florida based full service marketing communications agency, Florida Animal Friend has been able to reach more organizations across the state of Florida. After experiencing low volume of submissions in 2013, Florida Animal Friend (FAF) hired FMG to lead their marketing efforts, resulting in a 250 percent increase in application submissions, totaling 45 applications.
FAF awards grants as much as $25,000 to organizations throughout Florida to minimize pet over-population by providing free or low-cost spay and neuter programs. Each grant application is reviewed by Florida Animal Friend's Grant Review Committee and scored for strengths in the following areas: target of important animal populations, ability to increase surgery numbers above the existing baseline, cost-benefit ratio, track record of the applicant and the applicant's sustainability. The Grant Review Committee screens and narrows the list of applicants, which is then reviewed by the Florida Animal Friend Board of Directors who makes the list of grant award decisions.
"After a very low number of submissions in 2013, we're now much improved in number of grants submitted. If I had to say why, I'd attribute our success to our marketing efforts," said Lois Kostroski, executive director at Florida Animal Friend.
FMG has served as the full-service marketing agency for Florida Animal Friend for the past year and is responsible for all marketing efforts including social media management, digital communications and public relations in an overall effort to increasing sales of the Florida Animal Friend specialty license plate and grant applications.
