Florida Autism Specialty License Plate Partners with Indian River Tax Collector to Make Supporting Autism Services in Florida Easier
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Autism Services Grants Council announces a new partnership with the Indian River Tax Collector's office to streamline the process of purchasing specialty Autism License plates throughout Florida.
"We wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to purchase their Florida Support Autism Programs Specialty License Plate and this partnership does just that. You can go online or call the Indian River Tax Collector's office directly to purchase your plate from anywhere in the state. Our hope is that with this simplified process, we will continue to increase autism specialty license plate sales providing more grant dollars to support organizations serving individuals with autism and related disabilities," says Dennis Haas, Chair of the Autism Services Grants Council.
Each year, the Florida Support Autism Programs Specialty License Plate generates funds that support nonprofit organizations throughout the State that provide direct services for individuals with autism and related disabilities. The Autism License Plate Fund and the Autism Services Grant Council are administered by Arc Broward, a nationally accredited, Florida, non-profit, Section 501(c)(3) exempt organization.
During the 2017-2018 grant cycle, the Autism Services Grant Council awarded just under $80,000 in grants to 14 Florida-based nonprofit organizations.
The current grant application process is now open. All non-profit organizations with an Internal Revenue Service designation as a 501(c)(3) exempt organization and State of Florida Charitable Solicitation Registration number that are providing services to individuals with autism and related disabilities in Florida are eligible to apply. Grant applications are available for download at http://www.autismlicenseplate.com. The deadline to apply for the 2018-2019 grant cycle is July 31st.
